Key Messages from the International Conference on Urban Health 2022

CHORUS participants at the International Conference on Urban Health, along with researchers from ARISE and Pathways to Equitable Healthy Cities, identified their key messages from the conference to use as a platform for discussion at a Joint Satellite Session at the Seventh Global Symposium on Health Systems Research in Bogota, Colombia from 31 October to 4 November 2022.

To coincide with World Cities Day, CHORUS, ARISEAfrican CitiesPathways to Equitable Healthy Cities and Slum Dwellers International. collaborated on a Joint Satellite Session titled ‘Actors and Alliances to Transform Health and Wellbeing in Cities.  The session, chaired by Sally Theobald of LSTM, brought together researchers, decision-makers, community representatives and practitioners working on systems strengthening and social determinants of urban health and wellbeing, to map out current research, and action; identify challenges, synergies and gaps and discuss how to connect and expand communities of practice in this area.
