Policy Brief: Strengthening Urban Health Systems through Public-Private Partnership. Lessons from Four Countries
Our research and experience working with private providers and the urban poor community highlight the need for renewed and focused efforts to link the formal, informal and private providers to the wider health system, in order to improve health system coverage of populations and create a more equitable system to serve the needs of all urban residents.
Our Policy Brief was created for a Policy Dialogue Event, held on 30 January 2025, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The policy event brought together policy makers, health experts and development partners to share CHORUS findings and exchange ideas on the prospects and challenges of strengthening health systems in urban areas to improve the health of poor urban residents.
