Mainstreaming Health in All Sectors to Address Priority Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases in Urban Areas in Enugu State, Nigeria
The Health Policy Research Group, University of Nigeria, continues to partner with the Nigerian health authorities to prioritise healthcare in urban settings, particularly in urban slums, and strengthened multisectoral coordination and joint planning are essential for improving population health. This project explores how the agriculture, education and environmental sectors can support disease prevention in Enugu State, using a Health in All Policies Approach.
Ugenyi Iloabachie and colleagues use empirical evidence to demonstrate in this CHORUS Poster how the Health in All Policies (HiAP) is making progress in responding to urban health needs in Nigeria.
