Linking the Private Sector and Public Health System – NCD Service Management in Pokhara Metropolitan City
The impact of accelerated urbanisation is having on low and middle-income countries is contributing to an increase in non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension and diabetes. Working with the Pokhara Metropolitan City Corporation, the CHORUS team at HERD International examines approaches and feasibility of linking private health providers with the public health system to strengthen NCD service delivery. The team at HERD International present findings from the six-month intervention implementation, at the 11th National Summit of Health and Population Scientists in Nepal, in April 2025.
